Privacy Policy

How MK Prompt handles your data: analytics, cookies, advertising and your rights.

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains what MK Prompt collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell your data.

What we collect

  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which prompts are popular. This sets cookies and records your approximate location, device and referring page.
  • Interaction counts — when you copy, like or share a prompt we store a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address and browser string. The hash is used only to stop the same person inflating a counter. We cannot reverse it back to your IP.
  • Email — only if you subscribe to the newsletter. We store the address and nothing else.
  • Local storage — your theme choice, liked prompts and recently-viewed list are stored in your own browser. They never reach our server.

What we do not collect

We do not collect names, passwords, payment details, or precise location. There is no user account system.

Advertising

We may display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link in the email, clear all locally-stored data by clearing your browser storage for this site, and request deletion of your email address by writing to hello@mkprompt.com. If you are in the EU or UK, you additionally have the right to access, correct and port your data under the GDPR.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
